A delicious Indian bread made using grated carrot and freshly chopped methi leaves. These two ingredients are mixed with jowar and wheat flour and rolled to form a thepla. They are soft in texture and tasty at the same time. Serve it along with raita, chutney to make a complete breakfast and dinner meal.

Ingredients of Carrot Methi Jowar Thepla

2 Carrot (Gajjar) , grated
1 cup Methi Leaves (Fenugreek Leaves) , chopped
2 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
2 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
1-1/2 cups Jowar Flour (Sorghum)
1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
Salt , to taste

How to Make Carrot Methi Jowar Thepla

Step 1: In a large mixing bowl add the chopped methi leaves, grated cucumber, chopped green chillies, finely chopped onions and a grated carrot;
Step 2: Now add pink salt, carrom seeds(crush the seeds with your palm),cumin seeds,cumin powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder and mix it well;
Step 3: Now add jowar flour and hot water and mix it well to make a dough;
Step 4: Now take a wet cotton napkin and place a ,little portion of dough on it and spread it a circular motion;
Step 5: Now grease the tawa with gingelly oil and then place the roti on the tawa along with the cloth;
Step 6: Wait for couple of seconds and slowely remov ethe napkin;
Step 7: Let it cook on low flame and spinkle few drops of water on roti to make it soft;
Step 8: Allow both the sides to get cooked properly
Step 9: Serve hot.
