Ingredients of Chana Dal Pancake

  • 1/3 cup chana dal
  • 2 tablespoon spinach
  • 2 and 1/2 curry leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • salt As required
  • 2 and 3/4 tablespoon fenugreek leaves ( methi)
  • 2 and 3/4 tablespoon carrot
  • 3/4 tablespoon yoghurt (curd)
  • 1 green chillies
  • 3/4 teaspoon refined oil


How to make Chana Dal Pancake

Step 1: Soak the chana dal for 4-5 hours in water;

Step 2: Grind the soaked chana dal into a coarse paste;

Step 3: Transfer to a bowl, add the fenugreek leaves, grated carrot, chopped spinach, curry leaves, chopped green chillies, grated ginger, curds, salt and a little water and mix well.

Step 4: Just before making the pancakes, add the fruit salt and water over it;

Step 5: When the bubbles form, mix gently;

Step 6: Pour a little batter on a greased tava (griddle) and spread it evenly to make a circle;

Step 7: Cook on both the sides, using a little oil, till they turn golden brown in colour;

Step 8: Repeat with the remaining batter to make more pancakes.
