Chicken Manchurian may not be an original Chinese dish but as far as we Indians are concerned it is our most loved dish. This a simple very easy and quick recipe to make at home.

Ingredients of Chicken Manchurian Recipe

350 Gms Boneless Chicken
0.5 Nos Green Capsicum
0.5 Nos Red Capsicum (Red Pepper)
1 Nos Onion
1 Nos Carrot
5 Cloves Garlic
2 Nos Eggs
2 Tbsp Corn Flour
1 Tsp Soy Sauce
0.5 Tsp Oyster sauce
0.5 Tsp Vinegar
1 Tsp Brown Sugar
1 Cup Water
5 Cup Cooking Oil
0.5 Tsp Salt
0.5 Tsp Black Pepper Powder

How to make Chicken Manchurian Recipe


Step 1: Wash all the vegetables and chicken;


Step 1: Cut chicken into small pieces;
Step 2: Slice carrots in rounds;
Step 3: De-seed and chop red and green capsicum into cubes;
Step 4: Dice onion;
Step 5: Finely chop garlic;
Step 6: separate eggs into yolk and egg whites, mix 1 tbsp cornflour with 4 tbsp water to create a runny solution

Prepping The Chicken

Step 1: Into the bowl of chicken , add salt, 2 egg whites and 2 tbsp cornflour ;
Step 2: Mix well to coat the chicken pieces;
Step 3: Heat oil in a wok for deep frying ;
Step 4: Add the batter coated chicken pieces and deep fry on medium heat;
Step 5: Fry flipping sides till the chicken turn crisp and golden brown in colour;
Step 6: Drain and keep on an absorbent paper;
Step 7: Adding cooking medium (Oil/Ghee/Butter) Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan;

Adding Vegetables

Step 1: Add garlic and onion;
Step 2: Saute on high flame for a minute till they turn aromatic;
Step 3: Add Carrot, red and green capsicum;
Step 4: Toss well;

Adding Sauce

Step 1: Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar , brown sugar and 2-3 tbsp water ;
Step 2: Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes;
Step 3: Add the prepared cornflour paste and mix well;
Step 4: Cook till the sauce thickens;

Cooking To Finish

Step 1: Add the fried chicken;
Step 2: Toss everything well to coat the chicken with the sauce;
Step 3: Turn off the flame ;

Garnishing / Optional

Step 1: Garnish with chopped spring onion greens;
