Ingredients of Moong Dal and Vegetable Idli

2 cups Ragi Flour (Finger Millet/ Nagli)
1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
2 Green Chillies , finely chopped
1 inch Ginger , grated
100 grams Drumstick Leaves (Moringa/Murungai Keerai) , finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
Salt , to taste
Ghee , for smearing rotis

How to Make Moong Dal and Vegetable Idli

Step 1: In a bowl put in the rice, channa dal, toor dal, dry red chillies and curry leaves;
Step 2: Add water, wash the ingredients nicely once and drain off the water;
Step 3: Now add in the hing, salt and water till all the lentils are soaked properly and rest aside for at least for 3-4 hrs;
Step 4: Drain the water and grind them in a blender to a coarse paste;
Step 5: Now add finely chopped drumstick leaves, grated fresh coconut to this coarse batter and mix it well;Now take a flat non stick pan and pour 1 spatula batter in the pan and spread evenly;
Step 6: Drizzle some oil at the edges and in the center;
Step 7: Cover with a lid and allow it to steam cook for few minutes;
Step 8: Cook the roti from both the sides and serve hot.
